Losing the first 8 matches in a row, the tigers were off to a slow start. They were competitive in every match but could not overcome the strength of Central Gwinnett’s lower weight classes. Right when the 9th match had begun the tide started to shift in Swainsboro’s favor. Brandon Coleman recorded Swainsboro’s first pin of the night followed by 5 more consecutive pins. Recording the pins were Dalvin Lott, Ronald Lucas, Steven Chrysosferidis, Jaleel Johnson, and Deshon Habersham. The final score was 48-36 in favor of Central Gwinnett. The next match featured Swainsboro vs Toombs County. The Tigers started off a little better with a pin by Alexander Carswell. Steven Chrysosferidis, and Jaleel Johnson also recorded pins in the match. The Toombs County wrestling team was just a little too much for the Tigers that night.
