The Swainsboro High School wrestling team continued their season with three tournaments over the holiday break. On December 17 and 18 they participated in the Viking Invitational at Treutlen High School. Representing the Tigers was: Thomas Waters, Jeffrey Downs, Brandon Coleman, Dalvin Lott, Ronald Lucas, Steven Chrysosferidos, Peter Chrysosferidos and David Porter. Peter Chrysosferidos finished 3rd and Steven Chrysosferidos finished 4th.
On December 28 the team traveled to Augusta, GA to Cross Point High School for a 6 team dual tournament. Representing the Tigers was: Thomas Waters, Jeffrey Downs, James Johnson, Lashon Sherrod, Brandon Coleman, Chris Coleman, Dalvin Lott, Donald Harrell, Peter Chrysosferidos, Jaleel Johnson, Steven Chrysosferidos and David Porter. The Tigers finished the tournament 4-1.
On December 30 and 31 they participated in the Valdosta Invitational Tournament. Representing the Tigers was: Thomas Waters, Jeffrey Downs, Lashon Sherrod, Chris Coleman, Brandon Coleman, Dalvin Lott, Ronald Lucas, Peter Chrysosferidos, Jaleel Johnson and Steven Chrysosferidos. Brandon Coleman finished in 6th place, Steven Chrysosferidos finished in 5th place, Dalvin Lott finished in 4th place and Peter Chrysosferidos finished in 4th place.

UPCOMING EVENTS: On Friday, Dec. 7 the Tigers travel to Dublin for the Region Dual Tournament hosted at Dublin High School. Wrestling will begin at 3:30 p.m. Come and support the wrestlers at this important event. The top two teams from this tournament will advance to the State Dual Tournament the following weekend in Macon. Good luck wrestlers!
