The 2011 season has opened for Track and Field participants at SHS. So far, the Tigers have hosted two home track meets. The Tigers are already finishing strong in all events. This season, both girls and boys relay teams burning up the track at SHS.
The 2011 season has opened for Track and Field participants at SHS. So far, the Tigers have hosted two home track meets. The Tigers are already finishing strong in all events. This season, both girls and boys relay teams burning up the track at SHS.
"Relay teams are really running strong. Girls and boys teams continue to show great work ethic. We should see much improvement as the Region meet rolls around," commented Coach Barry Young.
Featured athletes this season are Deidra Jordan, Aniya Moore, Ronald Lucas, Kevon Atkins, and Demenquez Badie.
Coach Young announced the Bobby Parker/James White Invitational date for April 2. The annual event starts at 10 a.m. with field events followed by run qualifying events and finals. Parker/White Invitational will be held at Swainsboro High School.
