LADY TIGERS ARE REGION CHAMPS
Swainsboro High Lady Tigers track team region champs
The Lady Tigers of Swainsboro won the Region 3AA title in track and field events. High point winner of the Region event was Diedra Jordan. Lady Tigers earning a trip to Albany for State Finals were Diedra Jordan, Aniya Moore, Latiana Williams, Jonina Brinson, and Lakita Johnson.
The Lady Tigers went on to place 8th in the State Finals in Albany this past weekend. Individual Scores: 400 meter relay team 3rd(48.90 time), 1600 meter relay team 4th (4:07 time), Diedra Jordan 4th 400 meter dash (59.7 time), Lakita Johnson 6th 300 meter hurdles, Aniya Moore 6th Triple Jump, Diedra Jordan 4th in the High Jump(5 ft. 2 in.) Other Relay team members were Latiana Williams and Jonina Brinson. Team chaperones for the state trip were Ms. Corneila Jackson and Ms. Mary Oglesby.
