Lady Tigers Take First Place

The Lady Tigers took first place honors in the 14th annual Parker White Invitational held in Swainsboro Saturday, March 20. The Lady Tigers’ Team score was 192. Following the Lady Tigers were Screven Co. 188, Laney 62 and Jefferson County with a score of 51. The Tiger men’s team finished second place behind Tattnall Co. in the home track meet. Tattnall totaled up with 156 points. Swainsboro followed with 141 points. Third and fourth went to Screven Co 117 and Jefferson County 76. In individual finishes Swainsboro had several first place finishes in Saturday’s event. Aniya Moore finished first place in long jump and triple jump. Diedra Jordan took first place in the 400 meter dash and high jump. First place in the shot put competition was Lucy Collins. Jonina Brinson finished first in the 100 meter dash. For the Tigers Rashard Bradford had first place honors in the 800 meter. Demenquez Badie finished first in the high jump competition. In the 400 meter relay Lonnie Gibbons won first place. Ronald Lucas finished in first place in both 100 and 200 meter run. The Lady Tigers took first and second place in both relay races. The Tigers 400 meter relay team took first and second place honors. Over 15 teams traveled to Swainsboro to compete in the 14th annual Parker White.
