If you like competition cheerleading then you will like the future of SHS and SMS as the Gold Rush begins. This season Swainsboro has built a middle school feeder program for grades 6-8 to begin competition. "This will be great for the students as they reach high school. The competitors will have had three years to compete before reaching the high school level," stated Luci McNeely Cheer Coach for SHS. "Many of our region foes have a feeder program in place at the middle school level. The Tiger Competition Cheer program now has one in place which should help Swainsboro form rich tradition in cheerleading," commented McNeely.
The SHS Competition Cheer team started off with a first place finish Saturday at Lakeside High School in Evans. The 2010 roster for SHS: Rod Williams, Ayana Wright, Erin Bedgood, Kaidy English, Amanda Harris, Chelsea Godowns, Moriah Sheppard, Anna Ellis, Jamye Bellamy, Charlie Patton, Kaelyn Amerson, Caley Cavannah, Donald Harrell, Susannah Hooks, Jade Thompson.
