As the basketball season culminates this weekend with the state championship in Macon, three Tigers will be recognized and rewarded for their excellence. Senior guard Malcolm Eady has been chosen to play in the G.A.C.A. North-South All Star game on March 21 at 4:00 P.M. Eady also played in the North-South football All Star game. This is a rare honor as Eady becomes the first player from Swainsboro in anyone’s memory to be selected to play in both football and basketball All Star games.

Junior guard Devin Leach has also been selected to play in G.A.C.A’s first ever Junior All Star game. The game will be held on March 20th at 4:00 P.M. Leach was one of the state’s most prolific three-point shooters, converting at a 50% success rate.

Both All Star games will be played at Tiger Arena at Savannah State College. Fans are invited to come out and support their two athletes as they compete against other top players in the state.

Swainsboro Head Coach Leroy Jordan will be honored at half time of the final state championship game this Saturday night in Macon. Jordan won his 400 victory this season and will receive a plaque to mark this milestone.

“I will gladly accept this award on behalf of all of my administrators, assistant coaches, players and the community who have greatly supported me in my efforts to make this basketball program one of the best in the state,” said Jordan. “Without each of them, I could not have reached this milestone in my career. I truly thank God for them. This is a high honor for me and I thank God for the recognition.”
