A dedication and ribbon cutting was held Monday, Aug. 24 to officially open the new gymnasium at Swainsboro High School. The state of the art facility will seat 2,000 people and is now ready for use. The facility was constructed completely using SPLOST funds.

After the dedication, “Teachers of the Year” from each school in the county and the county “Teacher of the Year” was announced. The recent AYP (Annual Yearly Progress) achievements by Swainsboro High School was also celebrated.
