Farrow wins state title for the Tigers

The Swainsboro Tiger Athletic Booster Club presented Wade Farrow with a championship ring at Monday night’s meeting. Wade Farrow won the first ever state title in Wrestling for the Tigers. Farrow a 2009 graduate of Swainsboro High School ended his wrestling career with a 47-1 record. Wade Farrow’s only loss came from Jay Fowler of Jefferson High School before the championship rounds in Duluth. Jay Fowler was the three time defending state champ in the 152 weight class for the AA classification. Swainsboro’s “Summertown Slammer” (Wade Farrow) got another chance at Jefferson’s Jay Fowler in the state finals. Wade Farrow shattered Fowler’s hopes of becoming the first Wrestler to win four consecutive state titles.

Wade plans to attend East Georgia College in Swainsboro. He is the son of Randy and Angie Farrow.
